The FoxPlot started as a good sized backyard garden in LaFox, IL in 2011. Since then, we (Sarah and Nate Elliott) have expanded a big garden into an enormous one, verging on small farm located on 2 3/4 acres in Campton Hills. We are growing a number of vegetables in multiple varieties for our family and yours. Our goal is to grow a diversity of local produce to eat and preserve. 2014 was our first season offering peak season CSA shares, and this year, we are expanding our season to 20 weeks.
Foxplot Full season CSA 2015
What’s a CSA? Community supported agriculture is a way to supply your family with fresh and local foods while supporting and joining with a farmer for the ups and downs of a growing season. CSA members will enjoy a weekly box of produce, about 3/4 of a bushel of 5-12 different vegetables each week. We expect the box to keep a family of four in plentiful vegetables servings for one week. While we are not certified organic, we use organic growing practices, focusing on soil health and fertility. We also keep several hives of bees and will include 1-2 jars of honey right after honey harvest.
The details: Choose between one box each week or one every other week, to be picked up at the FoxPlot or at Fresh Ground in downtown Geneva. All share holders may begin to pick up their boxes on June 16 continuing through October 27th.
To sign up, please download the attached flyer, complete and return to us as soon as possible. We have limited shares available for the season, on a first come first serve basis.
